This policy explains what data C1 Fluency Lab ("we") collects and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, your display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Learning progress: your streak, completed lessons, review deck, self-ratings, saved talks and notes — stored so your progress follows you across devices.
• AI Coach messages: the messages you send to the AI Coach are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies. We count how many you send for quota purposes.
• Enquiries: if you enquire about Pro, we store your email and message to respond.
• Technical data: standard request information (e.g. IP address) used for security and rate-limiting.

How we use it

To provide and improve the service, to keep your progress in sync, to power the AI Coach, to protect against abuse, and to respond to your enquiries. We do not sell your personal data.

Processors

We host on Cloudflare (hosting, database) and use Anthropic to power the AI Coach. Your data is processed by these providers solely to deliver the service.

Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your progress at any time from Settings, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Danger zone. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your data — contact us to exercise them.

Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
